Interpret celiac disease test results

Not all people who produce antibodies actually have CD. Conversely, there is a small percentage of people who have celiac disease without producing antibodies. The widely accepted gold standard for diagnosing celiac disease is upper endoscopy with biopsy following the blood test. However, many people refuse the upper endoscopy because of the invasive nature of it and because of costs.
